About QWO

QWO is an injectable formula for treating cellulite in the buttocks and thighs. This treatment has no downtime and shows quick results! QWO is the brand name of collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes. This FDA-approved medication evens out cellulite by targeting and eliminating collagen strands.

Cellulite is harmless, but these uneven lumps can result in embarrassment and frustration. Intensive workouts won’t eliminate cellulite, since these stubborn dimples come from the downward pull of taut collagen strands and bulging fat cells. Cellulite tends to become more evident when fat cells become larger or when blood flow to the connective tissues decreases.

The QWO formula, when injected into the treatment areas, releases the taut collagen strands, allowing the fat cells to even out within the skin. Eventually, the formula will also trigger neocollagenesis, or the formation of new collagen, resulting in smoother and firmer cellulite-free skin!

The best candidates for a QWO treatment are healthy women with moderate to severe cellulite and good skin elasticity; skin elasticity plays a role in the formation of new collagen strands after a QWO treatment. QWO is highly recommended for younger people with good physical health and no major or frequent changes in weight.

When will I see results with QWO?

Visible results may be achieved in 10 weeks. In clinical studies, women received 3 treatments of QWO, 21 days apart.

How many women took part in the QWO studies?

QWO has been studied in more patients than any other FDA-approved injectable cellulite treatment, with over 1,800 women participating. In two pivotal phase 3 clinical studies of adult women with moderate to severe cellulite, 424 were treated with QWO and 419 received placebo.

How is QWO Administered?

QWO is injected by your aesthetic specialist directly into targeted dimples in the buttocks using a small needle. You should not receive QWO if you are allergic to any collagenase or the ingredients in QWO, or have an active infection in the treatment area.

How many treatments will I recieve?

If your aesthetic specialist determines that QWO is right for you, she or he will decide on a treatment plan, including total number of treatments. Each treatment visit may include up to 2 treatment areas. QWO injections will be given 21 days apart on 3 treatment visits.

How much bruising can I expect after the treatment?

QWO may cause serious side effects: allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions, including anaphylaxis and injection site bruising.
In clinical trials, women required no post-treatment downtime. Most bruising lessened after each treatment and resolved in less than 21 days.

How does Qwo work?

It’s not fully understood how QWO works in moderate to severe cellulite. The enzymes in QWO — called collagenases — are believed to target a structural cause under your skin. It’s thought that QWO works in 3 ways: releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen.
